This time she was in love, and just wanted to see all of the animals. Her favorite was the pink flamingos. She was determined to see them and every animal we went an saw, she would say "Now go see the flamingos?" Flamingos were our last stop, and she wanted to look at them for 2 minutes and was content. (we bought a postcard with a flamingo on it, just for her)
So as we were going through the zoo we came to the Meer Cats, she told me they look like doggies, and I responded they are meer cats. She waved to them and said "Hi meer cats, I'm Kya, and this is my sippy cup." It was adorable!
We also went and fed giraffes, Owen thought this was pretty cool, I held him while I fed one, and he just stared. Kyla on the other hand wanted to get as far away from them as possible. We would ask her if she wanted to feed them, and her response was, moving the the other direction while saying "I said no thank you, I said no thank you"
Kyla loved the petting zoo, I thought she wouldn't so we haven't gone to one yet, but she did really well. A deer went up to her and licked her face, and she would go up and pet them. Owen had his shorts nibbled on by a goat and my mom was nudged off a bench by a selfish goat who didn't want to share the bench.
Kyla was the true little adventurer for the day, she let a parrot eat an apple out of her hands, and thought it was neat that the parrots landed on out arms. She wanted one to come to her but she wouldn't hold her arms still.
This was the second time Owen went to the zoo (he was three weeks old the first time) and he just took it all in, he wanted to see them animals and even the ones that were harder to spot he would point to. He was such a good boy hanging out in his stroller.
