Long time, lots of updates!
The beginning of September Seth, Kyla, and I went to visit the Larsen's up in Washington DC. The trip was great, and they were great hosts! DeAnne can cook! YUM YUM!
Here is a picture of Kyla's crib while we were there, she didn't like it but it kept her in, the only problem was when she stood up she could see Seth and I, and if we even breathed too hard she would know we were awake, and made sure we knew she was awake.
Kyla is cooking with Scott and DeAnne, hopefully she learned something from her because I am not the greatest teacher in the cooking field!
Here is the WWII Monument we saw, it was awesome, and so peaceful, definately worth seeing! It is one of Seth's favorites!
Here we are at another monument in Washington DC, we went at the perfect time, the weather was great! And Kyla loved site seeing in her stroller. (this stroller by the way is great from travel!)
The Washington DC temple, Beautiful!

Spending time on the lake in the middle of TX!
Trip to Arizona in June!
My mom came and visited in the beginning of June, when it was time for her to go, Kyla and I decided to join her, so we booked a ticket and flew out to AZ for a week. The best part of the trip was my sister was going out to Arizona and didn't know we were coming! It was our last trip out there for a very long time, because Grandma decided to move out here to GA!
Flight to Arizona, fist time on a plane with grandma!
Kyla loves strawberries! She was climbing up Aunt Katie to get to the food!
The donkey in front of Bad Donkey (AWESOME place to eat!)
Playing with the ducks at El Encanto!
Hanging out in the pool, Kyla is such a water baby!

Kyla's Big Girl Bed
So this week Seth, Kyla and I are up in Canton, spending some time with the girls I use to aupair. When we arrived this past Thursday, we were going through all the tasks that the family needed before the parents headed out. We were upstairs where the girls' rooms are and i saw Kara's (the youngest ones) drawers from her bed all in the hall. It looked like they were reorganizing her room, then when I peeked into her room there was Jaida's (the second oldest) old bed stacked up, leaning against the wall. I asked Dawn (the mom) if she was having Kara organize her room, and she told me no. The story that followed was Shelly (a family friend, who has two little girls) was going to take Kara's bed and then Kara was going to get Jaida's old bed. Well I guess Shelly had come over to pick up the bed, didn't realize how large it was, and found that it would be too big for her little girl's room. So I told Dawn, that if she didnt know anyone else who wanted the bed and depending on how much it would cost we might be interested. She then told me the awesome news... we could have it for FREEE!!!!! They wanted it out of their house before they come back, we said deal. So yesterday Seth took part of the bed down to our house, this morning another part, and he will have to take another trip down. This bed is massive!
The bed is a bunk bed, but it isn't a standard bunk it has a set of stairs not a ladder. It only has a top bunk, and underneath is a desk and a play house. There is a lot of storage in it also. It is awesome, and we are so grateful for the bed! I don't plan to move her into a big girl bed anytime soon, but to know we have one for her is awesome!

Life in the new house!
The Move, Being homeless, and the New place!

On March 20th we went to the closing attorney's and sign our house in Kennesaw GA over to a new owner! It FINALLY SOLD!!!! We were so excited to sell it, and happy that the woman who bought it was so excited. We were suppose to close on the new home that same day but a final inspection put the closing of the new place on hold. Finally we had a closing date of 24th of March. So from the 21st (the lady was nice enough to let us stay in until Saturday) to the 24th at 4:00 PM we were homeless. We went and stayed with the family that I first lived with Canton for a couple days then to Christina and Jeff James' house for a night. We signed and moved in on march 24th, 2009 and we slept on our mattress in the living room the first night.
We were so grateful for all the help we recieved from family, friends, Kennesaw Mountain Ward, and Lost Mountian Ward. We were able to move everything in 5 hours from one house to the next!
Here is the picture of the 2nd night in the house, we had the carpets cleaned the day after we signed and because of it was raining the carpet didn't dry. We weren't able to move our furniture onto the carpet. So we slept where our kitchen table should have been. Kyla slept in her pack in play. We were so glad when they carpet was dry on Thursday and we were able to finally sleep in our room and Kyla could sleep in hers.
Kyla's first Flight!
Here is Kyla on her first Airplane flight. We have a direct flight to AZ and it was 4 hours long! She is great! she just sat in my lap and was so happy. There was no changing table in the airplane so we had to take my seat (the floatation device) off my seat, take it to the restroom and sit in on top of the toilet then change her. The two people I was sitting next to were great! they got up helped me to the back and waited until I was finished. And then on the way home the plane had open seats so we were able to sit in our own row on the way home! She hung out in her carseat most of the way home!
Long awaited updates
In the beginning of March Seth and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary. We had Corey and Leah watched Kyla and we went to PF Chang's. It was nice and relaxing to get out and definately different than our last two years. We had spent our honeymoon in Jamaica and then our one year anniversary on a Caribbean cruise. But this year we decided to stay close to home because of Kyla and we were in the process of buying a house and decided moving would be a vacation. The day after our anniversary I took Kyla on her first airplane ride! Kyla and I went to AZ to visit my mom and Jim! We had so much fun while we were out there, she got a meet a couple of my old friends.

Here is Kyla with my friend's little boy Tyler... we put them down on the ground together and they grabbed each other's hand. This is her first date... They went from hand holding to Kyla trying to bit the little boy, I wouldn't have been so worried if she did have teeth.

Lesson Learned Today...
So Seth, Kyla and I went out for dinner tonight, before we went Kyla and I did some errands and got my little sister-in-laws ears pierced! Well the Diaper bag was in the car for most of the day and I went to change her diaper at the restuarant and her wipes were frozen! Lesson learned, do not leave the wipe in a car when it is snowing!
